Goosander – single male with two male Red-breasted Merganser Loch Nedd, 27th December (IME)

Pied Wagtail – single male near Loch an Aigeil, 27th December (DAH). This is an unusual Assynt record for this time of year as normally our Pied Wagtails leave for the winter; the mild weather, so far, may have caused this bird to move back or not feel the need to leave, there were plenty of insects around for him to feed on.
