White Stoat at Clachtoll

March 10th 2010

This Stoat (Mustela erminea) still mainly in its white winter coat, or pelage, was spotted and photographed by Fiona Phipps in her Clachtoll garden on 9th March 2010.

It was most likely eyeing up the hens as a potential meal. The rabbits have nearly all gone from Clachtoll in the past year meaning predators like this stoat go hungry and have to look for other sources of food.
