Assynt Eel Project

Assynt’s Stoer and Lochinver primary schools together with Achiltibuie’s have been involved in a project to highlight the plight of the world’s eels.

The project was a collaborative effort involving the Highland Council Ranger Service and the West Sutherland Fisheries Trust.

A day of outdoor classroom work was spent at the Little Assynt Estate on 4th May 2010.

A short report on the findings has been written and this can be accessed via this internal link ‘A Fishy Tale to Catch Them Young‘.
