Single Male Brambling at Clachtoll 7th November (Andy Summers)

Single Goldeneye at Loch Ailsh 7th November (Doug Mainland). First bird of the winter.

Single Barn Owl at Clashnessie 12th November (Vanessa Ling)

Single 1st-winter Whooper Swan at Inverkirkaig 13th November (Alex Dickson). This bird had been injured by swallowing a length of discarded fishing line with a hook attached. The fishing line was removed but the hook had been swallowed.

Single male Blackcap at Lochend, Stoer 17-19th November (Jeff Parker-Eaton)

Woodcock a large wave of these birds seems to have arrived. They can typically be seen at the side of the roads during darkness. Reported 20th November (Roz Summers)
