Sounds of Nature – House Sparrows at Culkein Drumbeg

Welcome to the next instalment of our project to bring you some of Assynt’s “Sounds of Nature”.

This post is not a recording made by our usual source, Clive Davies from Stafford, during his holiday to Assynt in May 2019.  This time, thanks to a Culkein Drumbeg resident, we can bring you not only Sounds of Nature but a video too.

The 3 minute video captures the activity and ‘chatter’ of numerous House Sparrows Passer domesticus as they settle down for the night in their usual garden roost. You can almost imagine them all sharing the day’s news before retiring for the night.
