  • Song Thrush: Five birds, Oldany farm (DAH)
  • Great Northern Diver: Two birds off Bay of Clachtoll (Gwen Richards and Ian Evans)
  • Purple Sandpiper: Seven birds Balchladich Bay (Gwen Richards and Ian Evans). Also present three Curlew and a single Redshank.
  • Curlew: Seven birds on waters edge, Culkein Drumbeg harbour area (Carol Langford)
  • Reed Bunting: Two birds in Lochinver garden (G. Dougall)

  • Otter: Single animal feeding in Loch Inver opposite Church of Scotland building (DAH)
  • Dipper: Three birds Allt an Tiaghaich, opposite Little Assynt Tree Nursery, and a rare single bird on the Oldany River (DAH)
  • Goldeneye: Single male on River Inver near road to Inveruplan (DAH)

  • Snipe: Single bird put up near track to Loch Dhrombaig, Culkein Drumbeg (DAH)

  • Fieldfare: Small flock of 20 at Clachtoll (AS)

  • Goldcrest: Single bird foraging under garden feeders, Torbreck (Jack Wright)

  • Dipper: Three birds on River Inver opposite Little Assynt Tree Nursery (DAH). At least one of these birds was singing.
  • Goldeneye: Pair of birds, Loch Assynt, opposite Bad nam Carbad. (Ian Evans and Gwen Richards)
  • Otter: Two animals observed playing and feeding for c.20 minutes, Loch Inver (Dave McBain)

  • Twite: 31 birds, Clachtoll (DAH)
  • Magpie: Single bird Balchladich (Claire Belshaw)

2nd January 2021

  • Little Grebe: Single bird on unnamed loch, croft 81 Torbreck (Gwen Richards). The loch, which was three-quarters frozen, completely froze the following day.

  • Fieldfare: Eight birds ground feeding, Oldany (DAH)
  • Twite: 19 birds on overhead wires, Clachtoll (DAH)
  • Stonechat: Pairs seen at Culkein Drumbeg, Clashnessie and near Stoer Hall (DAH)
  • Grey Wagtail: Single bird, Clashnessie (DAH)
  • Bullfinch: Six birds, Little Assynt (Mike Dawber)
  • Goldeneye: Six birds (3 pairs) Loch na h-Innse Fraoich, Little Assynt (Mike Dawber)
