- Whimbrel: Eight birds flying north off Stoer Head Lighthouse (DAH)
- Mixed gull flock: c.2000 gulls surface feeding between Clashnessie Bay and Bay of Culkein. The majority of the gulls were Kittiwake, but also included were Common Gull, Herring Gull, Great Black-backed Gull and Black-headed Gull (DAH). Photo Gallery - Birds
- Pink-footed Goose: 30+ birds resting and feeding Culkein Stoer (DAH). The northerly wind over the past two days has probably made these birds pause their non-stop migration flight to Iceland.

- Pink-footed Goose: 100+ birds flying NW over Maiden Loch (Liz Burns)
- Bewick’s Swan: Single adult bird in with c.26 Whooper Swans, Loch na Claise (Andrew MacKenzie). This is a first ever record for Assynt and only the first in the Highland area since 2001. This species has to be reported to the Highland Rare Birds Committee before the record can be confirmed. - Emperor Moth (Saturnia pavonia): Single male moth, Culkein Drumbeg (DAH). The male of this species flies during the day in sunshine. Unfortunately this individual had just been caught and was then consumed by a Pied Wagtail.
