- Cuckoo: Single bird, Stoer (John Gilbertson). Cuckoo was sitting on a fence post being “buzzed” by 3 or 4 pipits. Eventually it was driven off with the pipits in hot pursuit.

- Micro-moth Yellow-barred Gold (Micropterix aureatella): Two moths feeding on Bluebell pollen, Little Assynt Loop Path (DAH). This appears to be the first record for this stunning micro-moth in Assynt and the furthest north and west in Scotland. Closest records are from the Contin and Evanton areas. The adults of this moth are unusual in having functioning mouth parts which enable them to eat the pollen of several plant species. Photo Gallery - Moths
