- Little Gull: Single adult bird in winter plumage feeding with the large number of other gull species, Loch Inver (DAH). This is the first time Little Gull (Hydrocoloeus minutus) has been recorded in Assynt. Photo Gallery - Birds. It was reported the following day that two Little Gulls were now present (AS).

- Waxwing: Single bird, Lochinver (Susan Templeton). Our first Waxwing report for this winter, sadly it was found 'stunned' on the road near the harbour. It is now in the care of Andy Summers, so hopefully it makes a full recovery.
- Starling: c24 birds on telephone wires by village hall, Stoer (Jane Livingstone)
- Coal tit and Blue Tit: Four coal tits and two blue tits feeding as a group by roadside, Lochan Fearna, Lagg (Jane Livingstone)
- Blackbird: 30+ birds, Rienachait (Jane Livingstone). Birds were seen in amongst gorse, willow and birch. Similar size flocks also seen in the last few days at Clachtoll (Charlie Leeson)
