- Bottlenose Dolphin: Nine animals feeding in Clashnessie Bay (Lana Bracewell et.al). The pod of dolphins was viewed by a small group of Assynt residents who were swimming in the bay at the time.

- Black-tailed Godwit: Single bird on grazing adjacent former Stoer Parish Church (Val and Bill Badger)
- Rock Dove: Single bird, Torbreck (Gwen Richards). This bird is unusual, as it has a deformed beak. At the bird feeder, it manages to pull the sunflower seeds out with its top mandible when the feeder is quite full and hold some seeds with its tongue. A lot fall on the floor. Photo Gallery - Birds

- Sand Martin: Single bird over Loch an Aigeil (DAH). This bird landed near the roosting Common Gulls and picked up one of their moulted feathers. It then flew high out over the loch, dropped the feather and caught it a couple of seconds later. It did this one more time before flying off without the feather.

- Butterflies: Eight species - Dark green fritillary, Scotch Argus, Grayling, Speckled Wood, Meadow Brown, Small Heath, Common Blue and Green-veined White - in wildflower meadow, Nedd (Stefan Taylor)
- Grey Wagtail: Single adult bird, Oldany River (DAH)
- Harbour Porpoise: Two animals (adult and calf) off Bay of Clachtoll (DAH, Charlie Leeson, et al.)
- Common Tern: Three birds, a juvenile and two adults, Bay of Clachtoll (DAH). The adults were teaching the young bird how to 'fish'. One adult had a sand eel in its beak, it would drop to the water and act as if it had just caught the fish. It would then rise into the air and call on the young bird. Fascinating to watch, rare to witness.
