Some moths June 2010

It has not been a good month for moth trapping as the evenings have been cold, wet and windy.

Despite the weather there have been one or two nice records.

Here are a couple of examples. The White Ermine, Spilosoma lubricipeda, was photographed by Agnes Dickson at Inverkirkaig, and the Common Purple and Gold, Pyrausta purpuralis, by Fiona Phipps at Clachtoll.
