Changes in NW Scotland Fishing Industry

This short article contains a presentation delivered to Assynt Field Club on 20 Feb 2014 by Iain Young. It concerns the changes to the fishing industry in north-west Scotland over a 40 year period. We start back in the 60’s and look at where we are in 2014.

From the early 80’s, for just over 20 years, Iain Young fished out of Lochinver.  He then worked for Aberdeen University, doing research into fish populations.
