Recording Otters-Ecology and Conservation

The guest speaker for our indoor meeting on Thursday 6th April 2023 was Dr Paul Yoxon from the International Otter Survival Fund. His presentation carried the title Otters-Ecology and Conservation.

Paul, who is Head of Operations at the International Otter Survival Fund in Skye established the IOSF along with his wife Grace in 1993. Over the years, the IOSF has engaged in otter-related projects in over 60 different countries.

The Field Club’s most recent contact with the IOSF was during September 2022. A young otter named ‘Storm’ was released back in Assynt after being rescued at Balchladich. Here’s a link to an article about this on our website ‘Storm returns to Assynt’.

This post is to make the Zoom recording of Paul’s talk available to anyone at anytime.

Due to the file size we have had to upload the recording in two parts with a very small overlap.

Here are links to the presentation which do not require you to leave our website. Enjoy.
