Animal signs river walk Lochinver

[Please note this is not an Assynt Field Club event. We are advertising the Highlife Highland Countryside Ranger events for Assynt to help support the vital work of the Ranger Service, and to offer more opportunities to learn about the area]

As part of this Ranger guided walk, we will be looking for signs of Assynt’s iconic mammals along the River Inver. We will be looking at what we caught on the trail cameras and small mammal live traps set the night before. We will be looking for tracks and signs of otters, badgers pine martens, red and roe deer and the elusive water vole.  This is a 3km walk. Meet at Little Assynt Tree Nursery car park, 7km east of Lochinver on the A837Grid ref: NC155 252.

Price: It costs £9.73 per visitor to operate our Countryside Ranger Service.  We make no charge for these events but we rely on your donations to help us protect our Highland wildlife and heritage. Sorry watching wildlife is not usually compatible with dogs.
