Guided walk to the lost township of Dubh Clais, Lochinver

[Please note this is not an Assynt Field Club event. We are advertising the Highlife Highland Countryside Ranger events for Assynt to help support the vital work of the Ranger Service, and to offer more opportunities to learn about the area]

Join us on this Ranger led guided walk near Lochinver to the ruins of the Highland clearance township at Dubh Clais and learn about how they lived 200 years ago. Lots of woodland and river edge wildlife to see including lots of fungi, signs of otters, herons, black-throated divers and woodpeckers. Fantastic views to Suilven and beyond.

There is a path all the way but it can be boggy in places. Total length 8km.

Bring packed lunch. Meet outside Lochinver Village hall.
