Orchids of Achmelvich

[Please note this is not an Assynt Field Club event. We are advertising the Highlife Highland Countryside Ranger events for Assynt to help support the vital work of the Ranger Service, and to offer more opportunities to learn about the area]

Guided walk to see brilliant orchids, jewelled rocks and marvellous machair as we walk along a coastline steeped in crofting history, to the old mill at Altanabradhan. We will see many species of orchids as well as mountain everlasting, kidney vetch, sundews, bogbean and much more. The total length of the walk is 6km, over rough path with a few steep steps.

Tuesday 13th June, 11-3pm.   Bring packed lunch. Meet at Achmelvich beach car park. Cost £12 per person
