Single bird with characteristics of the Hornemann’s race of this species in garden at Rhicarn (Tracey Aird). This report is provisional as the record has to be submitted to, and accepted by, the British Birds Rarities Committee. It would be the first record of Arctic Redpoll in Assynt, the sixth ever in Highland and the first ever of this particular race in Highland.
